Nothing goes live until you’re 100 % sure it looks perfect. Compra gives you a full test-drive—plus a one-click publish—so you can catch issues before customers ever see them.
1. Save as Draft
Every new survey starts in Draft status. Edits auto-save, so you can step away at any time without losing work. You’ll see a Status: Draft badge in the top-left corner with the survey name until you publish.
2. Open Preview Mode
- Click Preview in the header.
- A window appears that mimics the exact customer experience with the logic jumps, thank-you screen, everything.
- Walk through all logic paths to verify the routing.
Tip: Need to reset? Hit Restart to clear your answers and start fresh.
3. Fix Issues & Re-check
Made changes after preview? Just hit Preview again—no need to leave the builder. All edits update instantly.
4. Publish
Ready to collect insights?
- Click on Publish Survey.
- Make sure you have added Compra surveys on your Shopify online store. If you need more help with this, check here.
- Once this is done, the status flips to Active. Any customer who meets your audience rules will now see the survey.
5. Monitoring After Launch
- Responses Dashboard updates in real time once the survey is live.
- Need to make major responses to a live survey? Duplicate it, edit the draft, then publish the new version for a clean analytics split.
6. Unpublish or Move to draft
- Unpublish moves the survey back to Draft—responses stop immediately.
- This hides your survey from your Shopify Online store. Don’t worry your data remains accessible in analytics.
